The VTT-1000-WiFi supports wireless communication functions such as GSM/GPRS and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, which allow drivers to access the wireless network conveniently. Together with the built-in GPS module, Location-Based Services (LBS), tracking and navigation applications are made possible. Drivers can use the VTT-1000-WiFi for navigation purposes, whilst the management center can obtain real-time vehicle location updates through wireless connectivity.
To better fulfill the application needs in different markets, the VTT-1000-WiFi provides a Software Development Kit (SDK) with an easy-to-use API for application software development. In addition, in order to meet the demands of tough vehicle environments, the VTT-1000-WiFi Vehicle Tracking Terminal has been approved for its semi-ruggedness as listed below:
- It is designed to be water, dust, and splash resistant (IP54, front panel)
- It can be operated under temperature -20°C ~ 70°C
- It can be stored under temperature -30°C ~ 80°C
- It is tested to withstand strong vibrations
